Are Your Services Free?

Yes, we are happy to serve you with no-cost pregnancy services and support. We know this isn’t a easy time regarding finances and we want to alleviate a little bit of the financial stress with no-cost support.

Am I Really Pregnant?

Your first step to clarity about your potential pregnancy is a pregnancy test. For the most accurate results, take a pregnancy test first thing in the morning after you wake up. This time is when your hCG levels will be most concentrated.

Confirm your pregnancy test results at Lighthouse Pregnancy & Family Resources. We offer lab-quality pregnancy testing and ultrasounds at no cost to you.

Do I Need an Ultrasound?

Yes, you will need an ultrasound to understand what your pregnancy options are and confirm the health of your pregnancy. Ultrasounds confirm how far along you are, the location of your pregnancy (whether it’s located within the uterus), and viability (whether there is a heartbeat & pregnancy is progressing). Ultrasounds alert you to any potential complications.

After testing positive with a pregnancy testing at Lighthouse Pregnancy Resource Center, we offer limited, no-cost ultrasound. Get the facts about your pregnancy so you can move forward with confidence and clarity.

What Are the Risks of Abortion?

There are two types of abortion procedures: medical and surgical abortion. Each type comes with its own unique risks. The Mayo Clinic shares the risks of medical abortion (the abortion pill), including:

  • The body not releasing all pregnancy tissue in the uterus, also called an incomplete abortion. This may require surgical abortion.
  • An ongoing pregnancy if the procedure doesn’t work.
  • Heavy and prolonged bleeding.
  • Infection.
  • Fever.
  • Digestive symptoms such as upset stomach.

Each surgical abortion procedure dilates the cervix and uses vacuum aspiration and surgical tools to remove the pregnancy from the uterus. Each surgical abortion is similar, so they share similar risks, including:

  • Perforation of the uterus
  • Damage to the cervix
  • Scar tissue on the uterine wall
  • Infection
